Stockholm Sports Familj
A community badminton club in Solna. Club games every week, coaching for all levels, and tournaments that bring the whole family to the court.
About the club
SSF started in May 2025 with a simple idea: badminton is better with your people around you. What began as a few friends booking courts in Solna is now a club of players of every age and level, from kids holding a racket for the first time to seasoned doubles pairs.
We run regular club games, coaching sessions and internal ladder matches, and we host Stockholm Smash Fest, our open doubles tournament. Everyone is welcome, and families play together.

SSF Club Rules & Community Guidelines
At SSF – Stockholm Sports Familj, we are more than a badminton club. We are one family built around badminton, friendship, respect and growing a stronger community together. Every member helps make SSF welcoming, fun and inclusive for children, adults, families and new players.
- 1
Play fair and show respect
Respect every player, opponent, volunteer, coach and venue staff—on and off court. Play honestly, accept decisions gracefully and keep the atmosphere positive.
- 2
Help build the community
Welcome new members, include different skill levels and be open to playing with different people. The goal is not only to win games, but to help everyone enjoy badminton and feel part of SSF.
- 3
Play with the club
Members are encouraged to join SSF sessions, activities and tournaments whenever possible. You are always free to play badminton with your own friends too, but please also contribute to the club community by joining, supporting and playing with fellow SSF members.
- 4
Tournament representation and team names
- If both partners are SSF members and playing together, register under SSF / Stockholm Sports Familj.
- If you play with a partner from outside SSF, you may still use the SSF name if your partner is comfortable representing SSF.
- If not, choose a neutral/common team name together.
- Please do not use another badminton club’s team name unless you are officially representing that club.
- Represent SSF with good sportsmanship and respect at every tournament.
- 5
Attend responsibly
Vote in WhatsApp polls so we can plan courts and sessions fairly. Arrive at least 10 minutes early to warm up; late arrivals may lose their slot.
- 6
Court safety and etiquette
Wear non-marking indoor shoes. Do not cross an active court, and call “let” immediately if there is any disruption, shuttlecock or person entering another court.
- 7
Care for venues and equipment
Follow each venue’s rules. Treat courts, nets, shuttles and shared equipment with care, and leave the space clean after sessions.
- 8
Children and families
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian unless a specific SSF activity states otherwise. We all share responsibility for maintaining a safe and family-friendly environment.
- 9
Zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination
SSF welcomes everyone. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, abusive language or behaviour will not be accepted. Report concerns confidentially to the SSF committee.
- 10
Respect the volunteers
SSF grows through member support. Help when you can, whether by welcoming newcomers, supporting events, sharing ideas or volunteering. No one is expected to carry everything alone, but together we can build something bigger.
